Wanted to share another devotion from today. I find myself In a season of having to be patient on the Lords timing and not my own. Really loved how the author was able to paint this trying season so vividly.
The Storm’s Surrounding Me
It’s one of those nights again. I sigh as I reach for my phone on the gray nightstand beside my bed. I squint as the numbers 2:45 glare at me as if to mock me. I have tossed and turned for the last time and so I decide to get up.
Downstairs, I boil water for some hot chocolate and shuffle toward the family room that is dimly lit by one small table lamp. I place my hot chocolate down and wrap my favorite pale green blanket around me as I sit on the beige couch. The hot chocolate burns my tongue a bit, and I…

Love this. thanks for sharing. I loved where it put it so black and white, "one will win out over the other, but they never go away". That really made me step back and look at how true that is in my life, it is truly one or the other.
I also really liked where it said, "To go anywhere, you must launch out from somewhere, or you’ll get nowhere."
Powerful stuff!
This is a podcast episode from Ask Pastor John. John Piper is a pastor and author from Minnesota. He discusses why fearing man is such a big deal.
So prevalent for us today, especially in the social media age where we are constantly seeking approval from others over approval from God. Thanks for sharing this brother!
Love it
